Book launch success

The Irish academy of Beauty celebrated one of the most successfull nights in the companie's history as we launched Irelands first make-up book in the Westbury hotel in Dublin on Friday the 26th of June.

The event, which celebrated our publication of Look Good Feel Good , a make-up book to help build your confidence, was beyond all our wildest expectations and was attended by a host of celebrities and leading figures from the world of media.

It was all made possible by the Marie Keating foundation and their association with the publication. In particular Linda Keating and head of marketing Fiona Heffernan, who were responsible for organising the Hollywood style event.Their event management skills would put most PR companies to shame. The attendance of Ronan and Yvonne Keating who officialy launched the book , added to what was a truely memorable occassion. Myself and the rest of the staff at the Irish Academy of Beauty are in debt to all involved especially Ronan and Yvonne who are true ambassoders for the foundation and two of the nicest people you could hope to meet. The launch was also attended by a host of distributors who will stock the book including Easons, Arnotts, Hughes & Hughes, and Unicare pharmicies. Media in attendance included Expose's Ashling O' loughlin, Stellar magazine, Social & Personal magazine, 98fm, Independant, Star and Irish Times newspapers, and Vincent Browne .

Myself and Rhona Cullinan, head of make-up at the Irish Academy of Beauty, were over the moon with the launch and are privelaged to be associated with the Marie Keating foundation. The book, which has recieved excellent reviews, is an excellent guide to make up with lots of tips and information on skincare , make-up and beauty. It has quality images and demonstrations which make it the ideal make up book for learning the technical skills to applying your make-up. It is divided into 4 sections of  'know the basics' - 'learn the secrets' - 'beauty during and after cancer treatment' - and 'the makeovers'. We would both like to thank all of the contributors in particular photographer, Beta Bajgartova for the countless hours she dedicated and her world class photographic skills, fundraisers Gregory White and Peter Dunne, from NUI Maynooth snooker club who raised 90% of the printing funds through a 'snookerton' event,- Gerry Morgan and Inkspot printers for their efficiancy and excellent production, - Many thanks to Paul Woods for a fantastic job (and all the time) with the Book layout/design by Paul Woods paultheillustrator.com and La Roche Posey for their support and sponsorship.

The 'Look Good Feel Good' make-up book is on sale for €9.99 in Easons and Hughes & Hughes, and is also available through Arnotts and Unicare pharmacies throughout the country.
