Launch of Irelands first Make-Up book

At last, after almost 3 years , we will be publishing and launching Irelands first make-book on Friday the 26th of July.

Proceeds from the sale of the book, titled 'Look Good Feel Good', will be donated to the Marie Keating foundation. It will be launched by Ronan and Yvonne Keating and attended by a host of celebrities and media personalities. It has recieved top class reviews by distributors and media personal and has recieved the accolade of been stocked by Easons and Hughes & Hughes, Irelands leading book stockists.

The book is an excelent guide to make-up, while also demonstrating with simple step by step guidlines how to achieve stunning make overs. It also uses six real women with a variety of conditions such as acne, cancer and arthritis  to demonstrate how make-up helped transform their lives. Their stories are moving and inspirational adding to the uniqueness of the book. It is also packed with some great make-up and beauty tips and is divided into 4 main catagories of 'Know the basics' , 'Learn the secrets' , 'Beauty during and after cancer treatments , and 'Look Good Feel Good- The makeovers' .

The 'makeovers' section is particulary eye catching, with incredable transformations been achieved with the make-up techniques demonstrated throughout the book

Completing the book has been an invaluable experience for the Irish Academy as we got to work with individuals and businesses that are first class professionals. Rhona Cullinan, co-author and head of make-up at the Irish Academy has proved beyond doubt that she is one of the most gifted make-up artists to come out of Ireland and is destined to make a big impact on the international stage as well. It has also led to an upsurge in applications from persons wanting to study make-up at our college with courses been booked out in advance. We have had to programme additional part time and full time make-up courses, including workshops for personal make-up, professional make-up artistry, and advanced make-up classes for fashion, bridal, photography and catwalk.

It has helped elevate us to one of the most credable make-up Academies in the country while also helping to raise vital funds in the fight against breast cancer.
